The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Safety Instructor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Lead classes of people that are desiring a deeper understanding of safety at heights- Implement safety regulations, manufacturer instructions and best practices from the field into hands on learning- Determine the learning styles of each individual student and cater your coaching accordingly- Support the many industries that utilize 3M products to maintain the safety of their employees
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher degree (completed and verified prior to start)- Two (2) years of experience within the last 5 work years delivering fall protection, rescue, and confined space training to end users in a private, public, government or military environment- Two (2) years of 3M Safety Training curriculum experience in a private, public, government or military environment- First Aid certified- Current, valid driver’s license
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety from an accredited institution- Five (5) years of industrial safety in a private, public, government or military environment- SPRAT or IRATA certified- Fluent in French- Skills include public speaking, adult education,
Work location: Remote- Airdrie, AB
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic
