**ROLE TITLE**:QUALITY CONTROL CHEMIST (EVENING SHIFT)**

**REPORTS TO**:SUPERVISOR, QUALITY CONTROL**

**HOURS**:DAY SHIFT: 15:30 TO 24:00**

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support for the quality control analysts and release of raw materials/ in-process/ finished products, stability samples and cleaning validation and environmental monitoring samples to meet business demands and QC testing schedule. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for QC tests as well as conduct lab investigations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performing routine analysis on raw materials, in-process, finish products and stability samples as assigned using various chemical and instrumental techniques in accordance with established compendial and in-house testing methods.
- Schedule and monitor lab activity on daily basis.
- Operating, calibrating lab instruments as required. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve instrumental issues to appropriate levels (internal or external) as required
- Identify out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and conduct lab investigation.
- Draft/review SOP’s and STM’s, protocols, technical reports and analytical data.
- Ensure QC lab activity is incompliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements in manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
- Participate in occupational health, safety, and wellness.
- Participate and contribute to the other projects related to laboratory as assigned by Supervisor.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Chemistry or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or Food Industry as QC Analyst, and minimum of 2 years as QC Chemist
- Working knowledge of the associated regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of US Pharmacopoeia end/or European Pharmacopoeia.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Word and Excel, as well as working knowledge of statistical analysis.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Sense of urgency and flexibility.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
