WSP is seeking a skilled **Project Manager**to join our **Building Sciences team**in Dartmouth. To thrive in this environment, you are most likely a trained architect or engineer, have at least 5 years of experience in onsite building construction or multi-discipline design project management, and are at ease in a leadership role. The projects that we take on are focused primarily on building envelope design and restoration. The projects are located in multiple communities and municipalities throughout Atlantic Canada and travel to projects, attending in-person client and site meetings, and performing occasional construction reviews will be a requirement for the successful proponent.

The Project Manager ensures the success of their assigned projects by harnessing the necessary resources and managing their deployment to achieve our client’s objectives. There is no typical project. **What you will do at WSP**

Oversee construction projects and deliver cutting-edge building science services, including restoration engineering and building envelope design and renewal;

Prepare proposals, project cost estimates and schedules for construction projects;

Be the key point of contact with the Client or on behalf of the Client on all technical and administrative matters;

Manage the project budget, schedule, internal and external partners, and quality;

Be involved with other teams, particularly those providing Property Condition Assessments, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineering services;

Communicate effectively with the team and collaborate with senior technical resources from across the country to ensure quality of deliverables and best-in-class service;

Coordinate the work of Contractors, designers, and suppliers, both internal and external;

Review contracts, design drawings and specifications for completeness, constructability, and alignment with project requirements;

Provide technical advice to clients and direct project teams (consultants and contractors);

Manage the contract administration and contractor performance to ensure project deliverables are achieved at the construction stage;

Keep the client informed of site issues impacting project quality and resolve issues through the identification of risk and implementation of mitigation measures;

Perform all other tasks that will help accomplish the successful delivery of the project; and,

Contribute to knowledge transfer by providing functional guidance, peer review and mentoring.

You will always ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites and take WSP's Life Saving rules to heart;

**What you bring to WSP**

Undergraduate Degree or Technologist Certificate in engineering or architecture, or an equivalent construction-related discipline;

Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in construction, building sciences, architecture, multi-discipline design, or a related field;

Site experience is an asset

Proven success managing restoration and construction projects involving large commercial, institutional and residential buildings;

In-depth knowledge of building materials and construction processes for design and/or repairs of roofs and / or building envelopes;

Ability to quickly identify and understand project issues and opportunities;

A team player who thrives on working with other successful, energetic people; and

An excellent communicator, with strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
