**Major Purpose**:
As Controller, you will play the leading role in ensuring the day-to-day operating functions of the accounting department are being accomplished to a high standard. You will work closely with the CFO and VP Finance by providing insight and analysis that supports the strategic objectives of the organization. You will also contribute to developing and strengthening the Company’s core processes and technological resources.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for Metcalfe Realty Company Limited and various other companies in the Fuller Group of Companies.
Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs as required for the Group of Companies
Train, lead motivate and provide mentorship to the accounting department
Research, plan and provide recommendations for Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm
- wide improvements, as needed
Preparation of various documents relating to financing.
Production of the annual budget and forecasts including monitoring on an ongoing basis
Calculating and reconcile CAM and other recoverable charges for Tenants
Assessing, executing, and providing recommendations to improve policies, procedures & controls.
Single point of Contact for IT related issues (3rd Party Managed).
Working closely with the external auditors to facilitate the preparation of the year-end Audited Financial Statements.
Assisting in the management of divisional work-in-process
Overseeing the AR department and collections process.
Ensuring that established control procedures are in place and identify control risks.
Assisting in due diligence and integrating new acquisitions into the finance group
Contributing to special projects & ad hoc reporting as required.

**Knowledge Experience and Skills**:
CPA or CPA, CA designation required
Minimum 3 years of Senior Accounting experience working within a real estate or property management company.
Prior experience with MRI software
Previous experience successfully managing a small team
Comfort and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of an organization
Proven track record in process development.
Strong attention to detail
Strong skills in Excel
Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to analyze and problem solve
Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, and to challenge and improve current practices
Experience in a multi-company environment
