Production Technician

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician will have the ability to fulfill multiple roles in a cross trained team environment, work shifts and deliver agreed upon results in areas of production, housekeeping, and safety.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Package finished products.
- Clean and maintain the Production environment.
- Cross train in different positions to provide support and coverage.
- Other duties as required by the Production Supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- A high school diploma
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferable
- Forklift and WHIMS certificates preferable
- Strong mathematical skills is an asset
- Flexible with working hours (rotating day and night shifts)

**Know-How, required knowledge / education and experience**:

- Vocational, 6 - 8 years’ broad working experience
- Advanced specialized training

**Scope of Work**:
All-round operator with focus on the execution of operational processes and supporting activities (e.g. maintenance, systems and administration, inspecting).

Focus on the planning and coordination of operational work as well as supporting activities (e.g. maintenance, systems and administration, inspecting, reporting, and planning)

**Focus of Activities**:
Performs a full range of semi-routine and standardized tasks which can cover the full production process, including troubleshooting

Operates highly complex equipment and machinery that is critical to the production process.

Coaches less experienced colleagues.

**Complexity**:
Manages constantly changing priorities.

Thinking is about selecting the appropriate route.

Thinking is also within multiple, different procedures and standards

**Work Coordination**:
Plans and coordinates work for the team / group and trains lower level employees, may perform supervisory tasks in operations, either permanently or temporary (stand-in)

Pay: From $24.41 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
