**Piano Instructor (Part-Time, Private Lessons Only)**

**Sol School of Music - Richmond Hill, ON**

Sol School of Music is Richmond Hill’s newest destination for inspiring, high-quality music education and instrument retail. As we open our doors this spring, we’re seeking an enthusiastic **Part-Time Piano Instructor** to teach **private, one-on-one lessons only** in our newly built studios.

**What You’ll Do**
- **Design individualized lesson plans** that balance technique, repertoire, ear training, and theory for each student’s goals.
- **Prepare students for RCM examinations and recitals**, providing clear progress reports to parents/guardians.
- **Maintain a positive, motivating studio atmosphere** that encourages confidence and a love of music.
- **Coordinate scheduling** with our admin team and ensure punctual start/finish times for every lesson.

**Required Qualifications**
- **Minimum five (5) years of proven teaching experience** in private piano instruction.
- **Formal education in music** (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music, Music Education, or equivalent).
- **RCM-certified teacher** in Piano (Elementary, Intermediate, or Advanced Specialist).
- **Excellent interpersonal skills**—patient, enthusiastic, and able to communicate clearly with children, teens, and parents.
- **Flexible part-time availability,** including at least one evening or Saturday block per week.
- **Professionalism and teamwork**: punctual, organized, and committed to a friendly learning environment.
- **Application materials**: current résumé **and** a recent 2-5-minute performance video.
- Experience preparing students for RCM Level 8+ exams or festival competitions.
