Housekeeper / Assistant Educator - Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a dual position of Housekeeper / Assistant Educator to join our Team in Alliston at the following location: Wellington Street.
**Starting Pay**:
Assistant $19.61 - $22.41/hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hr)
**Housekeeper**: $19.10-$21.83/hour
**Position Type**: Full-time (40 hours/week)

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Health assessment and up-to-date record of immunization as outlined by legislation.
- Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).

- Food handler certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Experience in food preparation and serving is beneficial.
- Ability to operate standard laundry equipment.
- Have the physical stamina and ability to kneel, bend, lift and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with inquiry/play based program design and implementation, and with the use of pedagogical documentation.
- Uses initiative; applies sound reason in solving problems and resolves conflict in a calm, professional manner.
- Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, coworkers and other professionals.
- Have the physical and emotional stamina to effectively supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
- Ability to use computer systems and programs; including Dayforce, and Storypark.
- Delivers wholesome and nutritious foods according to set standards and regulations.
- Follows a set menu while adhering to allergy/dietary restrictions of children.
- Shopping at local stores may be required.
- Maintains centre inventory, ensures freshness and minimizes waste.
- Applies knowledge of public health requirements relating to food preparation, storage, dishwashing and general cleaning/disinfecting practices.
