Ramp Supervisor

The Ramp Supervisor is responsible for a team of frontline employees in a specific department. The Supervisor communicates company goals, safety/security practices, task assignments and objectives to the team, and motivates team members and assesses performance.
The Supervisor is responsible for completing assigned tasks according to Company and customer requirements. Additionally, the Supervisor provides help to management and keeps them updated on team performance.
Job Description Summary:
Ensures a safe work environment by following all the Company and customer rules and regulations regarding the workplace.
- Give direction and assign tasks to subordinates.
- Serve as first line of supervision.
- Understand contract requirements and customer expectations.
- Interprets and communicates items that are in question in the manuals and/or Company policies to employees.
- Monitor and/or conduct required training of personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with established Company and customer safety/security policies and procedures.
- Maintain working relationship with customers and provide prompt response to service requests.
**Requirements**:
- 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week. Airlines are 24/7, so we require our team to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to follow PrimeFlight Aviation safety guidelines for transporting the physically challenged
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma/GED

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Valid Driver License
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Continuously stand and walk for 6-8 hours

- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
