**Part-Time DISHWASHER**

**Reports To**:Clubhouse Manager

**Job Summary**:The role of the Dishwasher is to provide fast and effective cleaning of all kitchen utensils, dishware, glassware and pots, and to maintain the kitchen area ensuring cleanliness and tidiness. Ability to do some food prep and heavy lifting may be required. The Dishwasher must be capable of working effectively both unsupervised and within a team environment.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Arrive at work 5-10 minutes before shift time starts
- Practice proper grooming, personal hygiene and adhere to uniform standards
- Uniform - see Clubhouse Manager for proper shirt attire

(a) Long shorts (2 fingers above knee), pants or capris. Keep in mind nothing too tight,
ill-fitting, frayed or torn; no yoga pants, leggings, or sweat pants; and no under garments showing.

(b) Closed shoe with rubber sole
- All hair must be fastened back off face, and if possible tied back in a ponytail. Hat or Hairnet where appropriate.
- Use proper chemicals to clean and sanitize items
- Follow all PPE requirements under WHMIS
- Ensure that all dishes, pots, pans and cutlery, etc. are clean and sanitized
- Pre-soak cutlery and coffee cups in solution and load them into the dishwasher
- Put dishes back in proper places throughout the kitchen and server areas
- Ensure the dishwashing area and back storeroom area is kept clean, organized and floors washed throughout the day
- Empty full garbage cans and take to the garbage bin throughout the day
- Opening shift sets up dishwasher
- Check food trap and remove all debris found
- Turn dishwasher on and fill with water
- Throughout day, check on dishwasher sanitizer and soap, and fill as needed - PPE
- Advise Kitchen Manager if supplies are running low
- Load dishwasher throughout the shift
- Empty clean dishes, ensure hands are clean/sanitized
- Closing shift shuts down dishwasher.
- Ensure all clean dishes are put away in proper place
- Drain water
- Check food trap and remove all debris found, rinse trap and replace
- Turn dishwasher off
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner; complete _Checklist for Dishwashers_
- All problems in your area of work must be communicated to Kitchen Manager or Clubhouse Manager
- Assist in other duties as directed by Clubhouse Manager or Kitchen Manager
- Attend meetings as required, and on time. Meetings will be posted by Club Office, and attendance is mandatory
- Strive to uphold a safe working environment, report all Hazards and be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining and improving a safe work environment
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and guests to foster and promote a working environment that maximizes morale, productivity and efficiency

**Job Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Completed WHIMS training at Pike Lake
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Outgoing and professional with strong people skills
- Must be a team player who works well with others
- Good organizational skills
- Must arrange your own transportation
- Previous experience in a customer service environment is preferred

**Work Conditions**:

- Works frequently in a hot and damp environment
- Frequently immerses hands in water
- Standing for long periods of time
- Reaches, bends, stoops and squats
- Must be attentive and able to hear well in a loud environment in order to respond to employee or guest needs
- Lifts and carries supplies and equipment up to 50lbs. throughout entire shift
- Hazards include, but are not limited to: cuts from broken glass, metal cans, burns, slipping, and tripping, environmental heat.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $14.10-$15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:
