**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (Triton) is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to join our Calgary or Edmonton office locations in the position of **Boat Operator.**
- Operation of workboats and safety boats in a safe and capable manner
- Conduct basic maintenance and safety inspections of work boats and other project equipment
- Monitoring of bird activities and manual hazing of non-impacted birds, as well as reporting of other incidental wildlife observations (e.g. coyotes, wolves, bears and ungulates)
- Assist with the deployment, inspection, and maintenance of bird deterrent systems

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experienced in the operation of boats
- Solid understanding of small engines and ability to perform basic mechanical diagnostics and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience implementing safe operating procedures, including crew safety briefings and instructions to passengers and crew members
- Experience with basic emergency response, lifesaving, rescue, and survival skills
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Positive attitude, excellent inter-personal skills, and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Airboat operations and/or certification is an asset
- Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting
