Class 1a Driver

**Job Summary**
Walker Farms is a 4th generation cattle and grain farm located near Borden, Saskatchewan. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1A Truck Driver to join our team.

Applicants must reside within reasonable proximity to Borden, Saskatchewan to be eligible, as we do not have accommodations at this time.

Applicants must have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to get to and from work.

**Duties**
- Mainly hauling grain. Our busy seasons are seeding, spraying, and harvest. As a farm, we generally work more than 40 hour work weeks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Perform basic maintenance on vehicles and semi's as needed, including checks on oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid Class 1A driving license.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
- Experience in operating forklifts or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Knowledge or experience in grain and/or cattle farming would be considered an asset

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
