We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer to join our Winery Operations Team in Grimsby, Ontario. This is a part-time, contract role working 24-40 hours per week until the end of August and then becoming a full-time, contract role working 40 hours per week supporting our Harvest team until the end of Harvest (roughly mid November).
**Position Overview**:
As a General Labourer, you will report to the Packaging Supervisor and collaborate with Bottleshop, Cellars, and Warehouse teams to carry out day-to-day operational tasks. You will assist with the bottling and packaging of wine products, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, while meeting set quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the bottling and packaging of wine products at various workstations.
- Hand-pack various sizes of wine bottles into boxes for shipping.
- Hand-palletize cases of wine for shipping.
- Ensure all packaging loaded onto production lines is free from damage.
- Load bottles of wine onto production lines.
- De-bottle non-conforming products as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Follow SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Report quality concerns to the Packaging Supervisor or Designate.
- Clean equipment and work areas to ensure a neat and organized environment.
- Follow safety procedures and report any unsafe working conditions.
- Report any work-related injuries immediately.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- HACCP training is an asset.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without restriction.
