Avena Foods is actively seeking a **Shipper/Receiver **to join our team at the Portage plant. Reporting directly to the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for the timely shipments of finished goods and for keeping accurate records of inventory.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Professionally represents the company as a shipping/receiving point of contact for transport/shipping companies
- Picks and prepares customer orders for shipment
- Loads products into transport trailer and process necessary shipping requirements adhering to Avena’s Foods Safety policy
- Receives and process requisitions from multiple departments (ex. QA - Retest, Production - Milling & Packaging, etc.)
- Processes warehouse transactions using computerized ERP & warehouse management system
- Handles all other duties and problems associated with the warehouse (ex. Cleaning, etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma is preferred
- 2 years of experience in preferred
- Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management, food processing, packaging and food safety would be an asset
- Minimum 2 years of lift Truck experience/Certification
- Computer literacy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Aptitude with numbers
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 22kg (50lbs)
- Valid Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle are mandatory as position may be required to work at secondary warehouse.
