**Occupational Therapy Assistant**:
**(Permanent Part-Time)**

Temiskaming Hospital is a 59-bed fully accredited community hospital located in Temiskaming Shores, ON. We are currently accepting resumes for a temporary full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) is responsible for patient care activities, following the direction of an Occupational Therapist's assessment to promote and / or retrain in independent function. The OTA will ensure the safety of patients while assisting them and while carrying out treatments.

**Requirements include**:

- Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Oral proficiency in French at an advanced or superior level
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, while keeping up with the flow of work.
- Must have an excellent work record, including attendance.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors.
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in the organization.

**Assets**:

- Good communication skills in dealing with staff members, clients and family members.
- Experience as an OTA is preferred.
- Should possess basic computer skills.
