**PROGRAM SUPERVISOR**

**CHILDREN’S VILLAGE AT KNOXDALE - TODDLER/PRESCHOOL PROGRAM**

**Summary Position Description**:
The Program Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the Child Care centre. They must facilitate an emergent educational program and care for children in a group setting reflecting the principles of _Early Learning for Every _
- Child Today _and Ontario’s Pedagogy for the early years, _How Does Learning Happen?,_ and in accordance with the regulations of the _Child Care and Early Years Act_. They will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program that facilitates learning and attainment of developmental goals for children and focuses on active learning through exploration, play, and inquiry. The Program Supervisor must work effectively with staff, provide leadership and supervision.

Children’s Village at Knoxdale has been in operation since 2023 and is located at Knoxdale Public School. This program serves Toddler and Preschool children. The centre is beautifully decorated with brand new toys and equipment. It is a home away from home for the staff and children in care. We promote sensitive, responsive interactions between children and their families with our Registered Early Childhood Educators, that are individual and personal. Our high quality care is the result of a combination of a healthy and safe environment together with educational and social stimulation, appropriate to the age and development of our children.

**Qualifications for the Program Supervisor position**:

- Registered member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators;
- Early Childhood Education Diploma/Degree from a recognized community college or University or other equivalent educational qualifications;
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a Licensed Child Care Program with the appropriate age groups;
- Minimum of three years in a leadership role;
- Experience working with emergent curriculum, How Does Learning Happen? and Early Learning for Every Child Today;
- Excellent knowledge of CCEYA;
- Holds a valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C Certification;
- Clean and current Police Vulnerable Record Check;
- Experienced in basic bookkeeping and familiar with accounting best practices and procedures;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information;
- Creative problem solving;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively with others;
- Ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times;
- Knowledge of community resources;
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

**Salary**: The salary ranges from $68,290.63 to $73,589.98 per year. Permanent positions include comprehensive benefits and leave package as well as RRSP matching.

**Start date**: January 6th, 2025

**Location**: Children’s Village at Knoxdale, 170 Greenbank Rd, Nepean, ON
