We are seeking a talented, organized and results-driven Supply Chain Coordinator to plan daily and weekly workflow for our sourcing and procurement team.
**Job Duties**:
- Plan and manage daily, weekly workflow procurement in coordination with our buyers and members of the team.
- Develop strong strategic relationships with growers, vendors and retailers to drive business results and outcomes,
- Work collaboratively with members of the team across departments to leverage an understanding of business needs and capacity requirements.
- Forecast both inbound and outbound volumes on product base with multiple sub-products.
- Notify Sales Team and customers of any risks (i.e., supply chain disruption, delays, shortages, etc.) to product base.
- Process any customer orders via famous and generate reports to keep the procurement team informed of any customer order issues, short shipments, limited inventory etc.
- Manage days on hand inventory to develop strategic actions to limit product waste
- Problem solve and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Required to process orders and provide weekend (1/month) and vacation coverage for our sales team.
- Keep abreast with industry trends specifically market conditions and opportunities that may exist.
- Promote a clean and safe work environment for all departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Education & Experience**:
- Experience working with farm level growers, Terminal Market suppliers, GMPs, HACCP run facilities is an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in buying experience and or inventory control.
- Knowledge of food safety systems and protocols
- Knowledge of Famous, Microsoft Office 365.
**Working Conditions**:
- The Supply Chain Co Ordinator is exposed to mental stress as relative to meeting deadlines, working under pressure for last-minute customer changes and requests and ensuring compliance with food safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Weekend coverage will be required (1/month) to support members of the supply chain and sales team.
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures during product cooler walks or farm tours.
- This role is a hybrid position.
