**Concrete Precast Associate**

**Job Summary**

The Concrete Precast Associate is responsible for assisting in the production of high-quality precast concrete products. This role involves preparing molds, pouring and finishing precast components, as well as maintaining a safe and clean working environment

**Expectations**
- Be able to take direction verbally
- Be able to complete physical work that requires use of your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials, capable of lifting 50+ pounds
- Experience reading drawings (specifically precast drawings)
- Utilize various hand and power tools to produce sand repair precast concrete
- Set-up and dismantle formwork for pouring concrete
- Cut, set-up and bend reinforcing materials required for formwork
- Check work along the way to ensure it's up to specifications
- Perform surface finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling and troweling to achieve the required texture and appearance
- Monitor the curing process, ensuring the proper conditions for concrete strength development. Remove forms after concrete has set and assist in finishing surfaces if necessary
- Inspect precast products for defects, ensuring they meet company standards and customer specifications
- Report and address and inconsistencies or issues with product quality
- Move materials in various stages and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment, ensuring products are not damaged
- Maintain clean work spaces
- Raking, tamping, and leveling poured concrete
- Cleaning and oiling concrete molds
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
- Strong work ethic
- Punctual
- Able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in concrete, construction or manufacturing is an asset with strong concrete finishing techniques beneficial
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs or more) and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately
- Basic understanding of concrete mixing and handling
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times, especially when handling stressful situations
- Able to work unsupervised, motivated to complete all tasks
- Able to communicate and work well with others in a team environment

**Working Conditions**
- Work is performed in a precast concrete manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to dust, noise and varying temperatures
- May require standing for long periods and working in outdoor or warehouse environments
- Overtime may be required during peak production times
- Repetitive tasks

**Own Tools/Equipment**
- Steel-toed safety boots

**Working Conditions**
- Wage: $30-$34/hour, based on skills brought to position
- Permanent, Full-time, 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
