We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drywaller installer to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of tasks related to drywall installation, taping and mudding as well as surface preparation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Drywall Installation:_
Measure and cut drywall sheets to fit specific wall and ceiling dimensions.
Secure drywall panels to wall and ceiling frames using appropriate fasteners.
Ensure precise alignment and spacing of drywall panels to create a seamless surface.
- Taping and Mudding:_
Embed paper or fiberglass tape into the wet mud for reinforcement.
Feather and smooth out the mud to create a seamless and even surface.
Sand and finish dried mud to achieve a smooth, paint-ready surface.
- Surface Preparation:_
Prepare surfaces for painting or wallpapering by sanding and smoothing out imperfections.
Inspect and repair any cracks, holes, or damaged areas on the drywall.
- Quality Control:_
Ensure the final drywall finish meets quality and safety standards.
Identify and rectify any defects or imperfections in the work.
- Material Handling:_
Handle drywall sheets and related materials safely, including loading, unloading, and storage.
Keep an inventory of necessary materials and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Safety Compliance:_
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations when working with tools and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Drywaller or similar role.
Proficiency in hanging drywall, taping, and mudding.
Familiarity with drywall tools and equipment, including trowels, knives, sanders, and power tools.
Understanding of safety procedures and practices in a construction environment.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions and physically demanding situations.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
