Under general supervision, the law student provides legal administrative support to the City's General Advisor and Purchasing Manager, performing a variety of technical functions, as well as any other related duties as assigned.
The Law Student must have knowledge of legal terminology, legal research methods and procedures, as well as the language skills necessary to perform occasional legal translations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- research, compile, prepare and provide research reports
- Maintain legal requirements for posting contracts on the OAIS website;
- Manage routine office administrative requests and issues;
- Maintain tracking and reminder systems to ensure timely completion of projects;
- Independently respond to correspondence without the need for verification.
**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**
- Knowledge of technical legal terms;
- Legal research methods using Canlii, REJB, CIDREQ etc;
- Good knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling in English and French
- Standard office software;
- Internet research principles;
- Effective telephone communication techniques;
- Respect confidentiality, if required, and maintain good cooperation with other employees.

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Côte-Saint-Luc, QC
