Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc is looking for a General Manager for the Super 8 in Windsor, Nova Scotia a 66-room limited service property in the Western Shore. Salary range is from $60,000 - 70,000.00 based on skills and work experience.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITES:

- Maximize room revenues by utilizing yield management techniques (develop and implement events & packages to generate demand)
- Take a leadership role within the local community and build a positive reputation for the company through active participation and support
- Plan and oversee the design and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for the hotels
- Utilize leadership and motivational skills to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction
- Develop, implement and maintain business plan and budget
- Monitor industry trends and recommend appropriate actions to be taken to maintain competitive status and profitability of the hotel
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees

SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Sales and/or event planning an asset
- Must live in or relocate to the community
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism preferred
- 4-5 years of related hospitality industry experience
- Knowledge of yield management techniques
- Previous experience preparing budgets
- Skilled in hiring, managing and developing employees
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
