**Paladin Security is Hiring a Healthcare Security Dispatcher**:
**Location**: 1796 Summer Street, Halifax, NS
**Pay Rate**: $20.50/hour
**Employment Type**: Full-Time
**Schedule**: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM / 4:00 PM - Midnight
**Overview**:
Join Paladin Security as a Healthcare Security Dispatcher serving the Halifax Infirmary and Victoria General Hospital. In this essential front-line role, you’ll be responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinating responses, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of hospital operations. Dispatchers play a crucial role in maintaining calm and clear communication during critical moments and supporting both staff and patients with professionalism.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle all incoming calls with professionalism and composure, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain positive relationships with Paladin employees, management, and hospital staff while handling confidential information
- Dispatch alarm response calls quickly and accurately within designated time frames
- Respond to alarms following established account instructions
- Accurately update alarm and event records in the system
- Create and issue hospital ID cards as needed
- Assist Shift Supervisors or Site Supervisors with administrative and operational tasks as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must reside in Halifax or nearby cities
- Must be eligible to work full-time in Canada
- Must be able to work 12-hour long shifts
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate, and problem-solve
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication (oral and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Professional demeanor with the ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple calls based on urgency
- Eligible to obtain a Nova Scotia Security License
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (CSA-approved vendor)
- English fluency (oral and written) is required
- Previous experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred
