We are currently looking for a hard working and experienced Truck Driver to join our team.
Located on the border of Langley and Surrey, BC, close to transit, **Airfoam Industries Ltd** offers a positive and safe work environment for our employees.
The **shift schedule** for this position is **Monday - Friday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)**
**Duties**:
- Conduct daily vehicle inspection before departing to maintain safe operation and report any vehicle deficiencies to the Shipping Leader
- Prepare trip reports, fuel purchases and other reports as per requirements
- Ensure to top up fuel on vehicle with less than ¾ fuel in tank upon returning after delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned vehicles.
- Verify the accuracy of each delivery load against shipping documents before leaving the premises.
- Transport deliveries safely to their destination in a timely manner.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicle
- Ensure and check straps are secured properly
- Perform minor maintenance or emergency truck repair when necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment assigned to each vehicle
- Responsible to report and prepare incidents and accidents report if require
- Responsible in reporting and communicating to Shipping Leader of any cause of delays or any other situation incurred during deliveries.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Ensure all personal certifications and qualifications remain current.
- Relay customer feedback, complains, damaged deliveries or any issues.
- Other job-related duties and projects, as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent.
- **Valid BC drivers license with a minimum of one year professional driving experience**:
- **Minimum Class 5 BC drivers license** with Class 3 or 1 is nice to have.
- **Clean driving record**:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Great attention to detail with the ability to be accurate and thorough.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
- Understanding of QMS (Quality Management System) as they relate to this position.
