Pinchin is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join the Asbestos Laboratory Group in the Dartmouth office. The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for providing lab analysis to Pinchin.

**Laboratory Analyst responsibilities include**:

- Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content by Polarized Light Microscopy
- Entering data and preparing reports
- Quality control of samples from both internal and external sources
- Diploma or university degree in a related discipline
- Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy
- Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible colour
- Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy will be considered as asset
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) will be considered an asset
- Be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment, and to effectively prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
