Red Deer, Canada Central Alberta Fencing Inc Full time

**Position Overview**:Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Laborer is responsible to work safely while constructing and completing repairs for fences and fence gates, using hand and power tools. This position will be full time and will carry over to snow removal for the winter season.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Establish the layout and design of fences
- Dig post holes and mix cement for installation
- Install the main posts, fence rail, panels/pickets
- Installing ornamental steel, and wood fences
- Shoveling, digging, and setting post holes
- Lifting heavy objects and materials such as cement bags, pipe, lumber
- Operate power tools
- Shoveling snow and running snow removal equipment
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with management and the general public

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Performing General Physical Activities: performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Handling and Moving Objects: using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials
- Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material: inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Performing for or Working Directly with the Public: performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores and receiving clients or guests
- Repairing Material Product: repairing, adjusting, and replacing damaged product

**Education, Training & Skills**:

- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract are required
- Fence, carpentry and/or construction experience an asset
- Detail-orientated, motivated by getting things done right the first time
- Familiar with using both hand and power tools
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for customer service
- Communication and customer service skills
- Read and interpret maps, drawings, and specifications
- Forklift & Skid Steer experience and license an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
