Coliseum Operator

**SaskTel Centre is searching for a dedicated and qualified critical thinker to join the team as a part-time, call-in Coliseum Operator.**

**CORE FUNCTION**:
Under supervision of the Resident Building Operator and Executive Director, this position performs assigned tasks related to ice maintenance, building maintenance and change-over procedures.

**SCOPE AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operates and performs routine maintenance of building systems including hot water heating, plumbing, refrigeration (ice plant), ventilation, lighting, fire alarm, security and control systems.
- Installs and maintains ice surface.
- Effects the change of building mode including tear-down and setup of moveable seating units, dasher boards, glass, stage, ice deck and chairs.
- Performs preventive maintenance as indicated on work orders.
- Operates equipment such as a forklift, tractor, ice-resurfacer and floor scrubber.
- Responds to the service requirements of clients and the public for a variety of events.
- Performs janitorial duties in the maintenance of interior and exterior of building and associated grounds.
- Supervises, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Event Attendant staff.
- Calls tradesmen for repair work as required.
- Performs minor plumbing and carpentry repairs to the premises and fixtures, as required.
- Performs general maintenance and repair duties as required, including painting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
