**Role and Responsibilities** **Your challenges** - Test Project Engineer: develop requirements with the client; develop test plan; write/code tests; execute tests (on avionics benches, integrated benches, full simulator and the aircraft); report anomalies; software qualification before deployment on CF-18 fleet. - Innovative and captivating projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF-18. Among others: improve performance indicators of missile and new GPS and LASER guided bombs, develop GPS navigation, integrate new infrared detector, integrate new MIDS data transmission system, etc. - Must work with operational specialists (CF-18 pilots). - Possibility of supporting the Canadian Armed Forces on the ground during flight exercises (Bold Quest, Maple Flag, etc.). - Work will be performed mostly in Mirabel (occasionally in Saint-Laurent). **Your strengths** - Bachelor of engineering. - 0-2 years of professional experience. - C, C++ or C# programming, an asset. - Knowledge of aeronautics and/or avionics and/or testing, an asset. - Experience in development and/or integration and/or in the real-time testing of embedded software, an asset. - Knowledge of commercial or military aircraft systems operation, avionics systems, testing procedures, Integrated Test Facilities or simulators, an asset. - Ability to work on a team and interact with different multidisciplinary groups. **Operational requirements** - CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements. - Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance. - Main work location is not accessible via public transportation.
