Utility I (Labourer)- Reporting directly to the Market Manager, the Utility I (Labourer) is a multi-faceted role that will respond to the changing needs of the territory and is responsible for: _
- filling cylinders and loading on to pallets for delivery to our customers. _
- maintaining the territory yard, facility, assets and inventory (Plant); and _
- coordinating and completing general administrative duties.- ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES _
- Fill propane cylinders, load on to pallets for delivery to our customers. _
- Repair, test, evacuate, fill and paint cylinders and tanks, conduct propane quality tests practicing safe work habits. _
- Maintain a clean and orderly yard ensuring that tanks and inventory are organized. Perform regular maintenance to the facility to minimize repairs and associated expenses ensuring it is maintained, cleaned and presents a professional image and is a safe work place. _
- Manage and control inventory, ensuring assets are accurately logged. Coordinate shipping and receiving and unload and load trucks as needed. _
- Manage and coordinate any administrative paperwork and documentation as needed. _
- Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations ensuring compliance with the regulatory bodies and relevant regulations. This includes conducting and, if applicable documenting, pre and post vehicle inspections on forklifts site inspections and visual tank inspections. _
- Collaborate with the Service/Delivery Coordinator frequently for information, potential issues, infractions or accidents. Notify the Service/Delivery Coordinator of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation. _
- Obtain their consent from Manager and obtain approval to work overtime. Submit hours worked, including overtime on a timely basis bi-weekly to the Manager for approval. _
- Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company and its products and services positively and maintaining good customer relations. Seek and capitalize on sales opportunities as they arise. _
- Preparing of tanks. _
- Monthly inspections of the plant

- High School education. _
- Minimum one (1) year experience. _
- Appropriate provincial driver’s license _
- TDG and WHMIS training and certification is an asset. _
- PGAC 100-1 Dispensing Product is an asset. _
- Strong customer service skills. _
- Good computers skills for inventory management. _
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis. _
- Must enjoy working in an outdoor environment_
