**Position Overview**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and prepare customer-provided files for print production, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with management, production, and prepress staff to resolve file-related issues, priority tasks, or discrepancies.
- Create and manage digital proofs, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.
- Ensure proper color management, file formatting, and image resolution for print.
- Troubleshoot RIP software, and proofing systems, and participate in departmental efficiency and automation projects.
- Monitor and delegate pre-press workflow to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of all pre-press files, and production data to ensure departmental efficiency and outcomes are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or file-related issues during the pre-press stage.
- Assist with training junior staff or other departments on pre-press procedures as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a pre-press or print production role, preferably within a commercial printing environment.
- Proficiency with pre-press software (Adobe Creative Suite, PDF workflows, and RIP software).
- Strong understanding of file preparation, color management, and print specifications.
- Knowledge of various printing techniques (offset, digital, etc.) and the associated pre-press requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct errors in artwork.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, management, and clients.
- A degree or diploma in Print Production is required.
- Previous experience as a Prepress Coordinator or in a managerial position is considered an asset.
