**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Teach acro dance classes to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels
- Develop lesson plans based on skill progressions, conditioning, and choreography.
- Emphasize safety and injury prevention at all times, using mats and spotting techniques where appropriate.
- Provide clear instruction and positive, constructive feedback to students.
- Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and/or competitions if applicable.
- Collaborate with other instructors and participate in studio events and meetings.
- Maintain a professional, encouraging, and inclusive class environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Prior experience teaching acro, gymnastics, or dance with acrobatic elements.
- Strong understanding of safe acro techniques and progressive skill development.
- Certification in acrobatics, gymnastics, or dance (e.g., Acrobatic Arts, ADTA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Background in dance styles such as jazz, contemporary, or ballet is beneficial.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and class management skills.
- Passionate about working with youth and helping them grow in both skill and confidence.
**Working Conditions**:
- Classes are held in a fully equipped dance studio with mats and safety equipment.
- May involve evenings and weekends depending on class schedules and events.
- Requires physical activity including lifting, spotting, and demonstrating movement.
