**Job Title: Cleaner (Masjid & School Classrooms)**

Location: Ummah Society

/Part-time

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Masjid Cleaning Duties**:

- Clean and sanitize the prayer hall, ablution (wudu) areas, entrances, and hallways regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness of shoe racks, storage spaces, and common gathering areas.
- Ensure restrooms are cleaned, disinfected, and restocked daily.
- Vacuum, mop, sweep, and dust throughout the facility as needed.
- Assist in preparing the Masjid for events such as Jummah prayers, Ramadan programs, and community gatherings.
- Follow appropriate waste disposal practices and ensure garbage and recycling are removed in a timely manner.
- Safely store and handle cleaning products and equipment.
- Report safety hazards, damages, or repair needs to management promptly.

**School Classroom Cleaning Duties**:

- Clean and disinfect classrooms, desks, chairs, and high-touch surfaces daily.
- Empty trash bins and ensure restrooms in school areas are maintained regularly.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue in school restrooms.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop classroom floors and corridors.
- Support with cleaning tasks after school events, programs, or parent meetings.
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure a hygienic learning environment for students and staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in facility cleaning, preferably in a religious or educational setting.
- WHMIS Certification (required).
- Ability to perform physical work such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a sense of responsibility for maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Respect for Islamic values and the sanctity of religious and learning spaces.
- communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or during special events.

Own transportation is preferred due to variable work hours.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.70-$18.00 per hour
