Van Kleef Group Incorporated, the subcontractor for DARTS Transit is looking for full time drivers (Average of 10 hour shifts - 5 days a week; however you will be working **part-time to start in the beginning**). Permanent part-time and weekends is also available.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Driving our company vans (eg. Dodge Caravan) and providing **door to door service** to clients on a timely basis via communication with DARTS dispatch and using a Uniden device (electronic device)
- Provide excellent service consistent with the company's core service standards
- Maintain continuous contact with DARTS dispatch office
- Assist passengers safely in and out of vehicle
- Carry, load, secure and unload bags, walker, etc.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings
- Maintain clean interior and exterior of vehicle
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all clients
- Identify and report defects, hazards, injuries, equipment or processes immediately
- Drive in a safe and courteous manner
- Obey all traffic and driving regulations
- Follow designated procedures for vehicle breakdowns and accidents
- Maintain the highest level of strict confidentiality and professionalism
- Ensure security of vehicle keys and tablets
- Park vehicle in designated location when not in use
- Perform other related duties as necessary

**REQUIREMENTS**
- **Hamilton Police Vulnerable Sector Police Check**:

- **Must have a 6-year Driver experience letter from driver’s personal insurance company**:

- 25 years of age +
- **Must have a valid driver’s licence and clean abstract with at least 6 years of driving experience**:

- G and/or CZ licences
- Previous driving experience (driving passengers)
- Working knowledge in using tablets, ipads, etc. (technology)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively and professionally before groups of customers
- Ability to occasionally stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Well versed with the Greater Hamilton area
- Must live in the Greater Hamilton Area
- Must have cell phone

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
