Growcer is an innovative agri-tech startup launched in Ottawa in 2015, specializing in the manufacturing and design of modular hydroponic systems that enable commercial food production in plug-and-play 40 ft. modules. Its vertical farming technology enables customers to grow fresh vegetables in virtually any climate, having been deployed within the Arctic Circle below -50°C. Growcer has empowered conventional farmers, entrepreneurs, communities and institutions to grow food locally all year round. **About the Role**
As the Project Coordinator of Construction, Installations and Retrofits you will play a crucial role in strategically preparing for and executing on the launch and upgrades of our upcoming and current farms. You will be part of the Customer Success team and will work closely with our customers as well as the Sales, Product/Engineering and R&D teams. Your focus will range from cross-functional farm deployment and launch projects including scope definition, driving company-wide decision making, managing timelines and other critical tasks in partnership with teams across the organization.
This is a high visibility role that offers key leadership opportunities with the Customer Success team and within Growcer. The role is based in Ottawa, however there is the possibility for working remotely.
**Responsibilities**
- Construction support for customers, tasks include:
- Building permit support;
- 3rd party contractor inquiry management;
- General customer inquiries; and
- Hands on work developing customer facing materials.
- Support and lead projects and programs, inclusive of timeline, budget, resource management, key decision making and scaling. Tasks include:
- Develop and own relevant project plans and timelines;
- Work within Customer Success and other Growcer teammates and leaders across the organization to develop and execute the project plan - meeting and exceeding customer driven expectations
- Support regular coordination across the project teams, drive accountability to the milestones within the project and identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Tasks include:
- Ensure clear ownership and accountability for each milestone;
- Make appropriate interdependency links and tradeoffs that consider priorities and quantified risk where possible;
- Motivate project team, ensures project deliverables and schedules are met; and
- Identify potential roadblocks and proactively address them with the project team.
- Ensure documentation accuracy across projects
**Required Skills & Competencies**
- Experience with construction management including building permits
- Experience managing contractors
- Project, budget, and change management experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to manage several tasks and projects in a fast-pace, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Team player who will work hands-on (e.g.: directly with cross functional teams, visiting the farm as needed) with the team to implement change
