Urban Roots Inc. is local Landscape company working with clients throughout Pictou County and Beyond. With our Season ramping up - we are looking at adding more Landscape Gardeners to our team
As a Landscape Gardener, you will be working in beautiful gardens, enjoying the outdoors, working with a fun, energetic team.
Daily tasks include (but not be limited to): garden bed maintenance; weeding, mulching, pruning, cleanups, edging, planting, fertilizing, using a range of tools. Working on different properties and projects, with different team members daily, the right fit for this position is someone who can be flexible with routine and is a team player. Attention to detail, and a strong work ethic is critical for this role. Knowledge of plant care, plant identification, and a keen interest in gardening would be an asset to this role.
Work Requirements: Steel toe boots, leather gloves; bending often, kneeling & crouching for extended periods of time; the ability to lift 25lbs; ability to work in all weather conditions; reliable transportation to work locations.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5-7 months
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
**Salary**: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
