**The Opportunity**:
We are currently looking for a full-time 2nd shift **Shipper/Receiver** based in the Brampton Service Centre. The primary purpose of this position is to work safely within the shipping and receiving department and to ensure timely and accurate data entry and receipt of material. The Shipper/Receiver will report to and work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to support production, shipping and receiving, continuous improvement and health and safety. **This role works Monday to Friday 3pm - 11pm.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Operation of forklifts, cranes and side loaders for loading and unloading of trucks as well as order filling
- Verification of material and stock products received as ordered in both type and quantity
- Ensure open orders are released and filled for shipment to the customer
- Match packaging slips and test reports with relevant purchase order and updates computer records to register the receipt
- Maintain files of receiving documents
- Advise Inventory Manager/Buyer/Operations Manager of problems involving materials and stock products and ensures their resolution prior to final receipt
- Work in compliance with all health, safety and environmental programs as established by legislative requirements and company policy

**Qualifications required**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in the metal distribution industry
- Possess basic math and keyboarding skills
- Must be able to demonstrate accurate measuring skills
- Comfortable using a PC - Word, Excel and Inventory ERP Systems; experience with ERP software related to shipping and receiving is an asset
- Keen attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Safety conscious and strong knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to the position, in compliance with the provincial regulations and the company’s policies
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
