A local manufacturing firm has a position available for a Plant Coordinator. You will be joining a well-established company with a team including a number of long-term employees. Reporting to the Operations Manager and indirectly to the General Manager, the Plant Coordinator position is an extremely diverse role that involves communication and coordination with many individuals across various departments, thereby ensuring maximum efficiency in the day-to-day operations of the company. This role involves duties including, but not limited to, Purchasing & Logistics, Production, Human Resources, Environment, Health and Safety, and general support to the Senior Leadership Team. As a valued and trusted member of the team at Kon Kast, this individual plays an integral part in the overall success of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assists with the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods and services, which includes: raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
- Issues Purchase Orders and works closely with Purchasers to confirm product arrival.
- Ensures all materials are available for various manufacturing departments.
- Assists with inventory counts
- Communicates to all departments in a timely and effective manner, and actively participates in operational meetings.
- Assists with the Office and Plant administration, including overflow support for special projects from other departments and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Assists with individual inventory item costing and Production Department KPI information.
- Provides administrative support with respect to company NSC Carrier obligations.
- WorkSafe BC claims management & administration, along with supporting the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
- Assists with ensuring company compliance to the Code of Practice for the Concrete Industry and to the in-house Environmental Policy Manual and Emergency Response Plan.
- Coordinates wood, steel and concrete bin removal; sweeping of yard, as needed.
- Manages coverall services.
- May receive incoming packages and pass outgoing mail to the post person.
- Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

**Professional Experience / Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or College Diploma (Business Administration, Enterprise Systems Management) is an asset or equivalent work experience.
- Computer aptitude required with strong Microsoft suite skills a must.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
- Work experience in materials control and in a purchasing role, especially in a manufacturing environment, is considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
