**Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team for a **temporary, 2-week shift** with the possibility of having it extended to another project.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce on various construction sites. Your contributions will help uphold our mission of building beyond the project and making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safety standards are met
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Collaborate with project managers to promote a culture of safety
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- **Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Strong analytical skills for incident investigation
- NCSO certification
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred.
