You will have a lot of flexibility, and resources allocated to you for developing interest and demand for our products. You must be creating and pro-active in performing your functions. We do not expect you to spend your day cold-calling potential clients, but you are expected to make your presence known, establish relations with distributers, salespeople as well as builders and contractors.

This is an entry level position leading to promotion into more responsibilities in our sales department.

**As a business development representative, you will**:

- Use prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects
- Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
- Determine the prospect's interest in lighting products
- Schedule discovery meetings for sales representatives and prospects
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annually territory sales quotas.

**Required qualifications**:

- Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills.
- Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
- Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
- Interest in lighting and construction industry.
- At least one year of professional experience.

**Desired qualifications**:

- Experience reaching or exceeding weekly/monthly quotas.
- Understanding of construction, distribution, and lighting products.

You will also be provided access to a vehicle and gas card as part of this compensation. Once passed the training and probation period, a commission based on the sales you bring in will also be worked into your remuneration package.

We offer you the position as an employment agreement for a full-time position.

We will provide training so you can competently and swiftly accomplish the required tasks.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Additional pay:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 2 years (required)
- Electrical and Lighting Product Knowledge: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
