**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to weight limits.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Utilize forklifts as necessary for loading and unloading freight.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.

**Requirements**:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations is essential.
- Basic skills in automotive repair are a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road, including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
