**Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia** is currently searching for a **Manager, Project Management Office** **to join our team in Burnaby The Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) plays an active role in the organization’s forward planning by leading the organization’s PMO and overseeing program and project management of organizational projects. This includes integrating organizational projects into forward planning, supporting the full project life cycle for any organization-wide projects, and compiling and analysing strategic information for the Executive Team to support effective decision-making. This is a great opportunity to work for one of BC's Top Employers and level up your project management career within a unique field Our organization has fantastic benefits, an inclusive culture, and a flex day schedule that essentially offers every second Friday off. **WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING** - Leading the organization’s Project Management Office in the management and delivery of cross-functional corporate projects by supporting planning, tracking, reporting, budgeting, researching and other general support as required. - Integrating organization-wide projects into the corporate planning process by providing analysis on gaps, risks and weaknesses, reporting on status of current projects, and recommending potential projects to support corporate continuous improvement. - Conducting research and coordinating operational planning, including the process for developing departmental annual plans and projects. - Supporting the annual planning sessions with the Executive and Leadership Teams to establish annual business goals and strategies, as well as supporting the Executive team in the prioritization and selection of goals. - Responsible for compiling, analyzing and distributing strategic information and status dashboards to support effective decision-making. - Responsible for developing and expanding the knowledge base for project leaders by providing training, coaching and resources to support project work; creates opportunities for project managers to share and expand knowledge; ensures integration of change management best practices into project planning; educates and expands use of PMO tools and framework for project leads across the organization. - Assisting project managers with resource effort estimations (staffing and budgeting), identifying resourcing conflicts, interdependencies, and proposing solutions. - Owning, maintaining, and continuously improving the program and project management processes, templates, and tools. - Leading planning and coordination of Project Management Steering Group meetings. - Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and forecasting any expenses related to the function of the Project Management Office. - Other duties as assigned by management. **WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**: - A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Commerce, or related. - Project Management certification such as CAPM or PMP is preferred. - 5-7 years of relevant experience in project management. - Advanced knowledge of project management, facilitation, consultation and stakeholder engagement principals and techniques. - Experience leading a PMO for a similarly complex organization is preferred. - Strong facilitation, consultative, consensus building, and collaborative skills including the ability to communicate with professionals across diverse functional areas such as technical specialists and executive management. - Proven ability to synthesize information and data and prepare reports for various audiences. - Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects. **WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU** Each member of our team enables us to deliver on our vision of "modern regulation for a resilient world".
