Superintendent in Training

**Overview**
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to organize and supervise the day to day maintenance of the golf course.

**Duties**
- Supervise and organize staff on daily work assignments
- Ensure course is maintained to appropriate conditions.
- Manage construction projects and all maintenance cultural practices such as watering, mowing, topdressing, aerating, verticutting etc.
- Supervise maintenance staff ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety and maintenance standards and directives
- Maintain the irrigation systems in an operational state at all times and provide recommendations for irrigation cycles and programming
- Monitor and report all mechanical equipment deficiencies to mechanics
- Maintain inventory of shop and course tools such as chainsaws, linetrimmers etc.
- Keep daily records of weather, staff assignments and cultural practices employed
- Refurbish course hardware and cost and order new hardware annually
- Actively work with course consultant to ensure course conditions are maintained to adequate levels.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in a Supervisory role or similar position within the golf or landscape industry.
- Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated ability in supervising teams, managing multiple small projects.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
