**DATA CLEANSING AND DATA MIGRATION CONSULTANT**
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The **consultant is expected to start ASAP and the contract length is 2 years.**
**Project Context**
In 2015 a provincial credentialing and privileging solution was implemented to provide a single standard web-based platform and to align and standardize business processes across all health organizations in BC. The BC MQI C&P project requires a highly skilled and experienced senior data migration specialist to conduct data cleansing of the existing data and support the data migration activities in collaboration with the data owners from each of the health organizations and the BC MQI team.
Each health authority owns the data associated with their organization. Over time, the quality and consistency of the data has evolved to vary slightly from one health organization to the other, depending on internal processes and data field interpretations/usage. Transformation of the health organization data from its current state to the needs of the future state solution will require data cleansing to allow for effective transformation of the data set. Data migration activities for the project will be handled by the vendor responsible for the delivery of the end solution however the BC MQI project team will play a direct and active role in the data transformation and migration activities lead by the senior data migration specialist.
