Applications Development Technology Lead

**Responsibilities**: - Architect, Design, and implement robust Python-based solution - Lead global Technology Teams across different time zones, enabling a hybrid work model - Drive Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) principle based development and mentor team members to leverage advanced python coding techniques and features - Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements - Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards - Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation - Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals - Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions - Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary - Experience in using writing and using shell script and other linux features - Implement Unit Testing and TDD to ensure software quality and maintainbility - Proactively **Qualifications**: - 10-12 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role - Experience in managing and implementing successful projects - 5+ years in a technical leadership role, with experience leading global technology teams. - Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks - Code reviews, test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements - Manage Level 3 production support - Influence and negotiate with senior technical leaders from partner teams of software engineers, devops and production support staff to deliver robust software solutions. Ensure the team is collaborating effectively across functions - Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development - Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate - Demonstrated leadership and project management skills - Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication **Technical Skills** - Strong expertise in Python; library, framework, and API development experience preferable - Proficiency in SQL Databases, MongoDB, Oracle, Big Data preferred - Hands-on experience with Shell Scripting and automation using tools like Autosys - Git / BitBucket, CI/CD (Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy) experience highly desirable - Experience in monitoring tools and strategies for system reliability preferred **Education**: - Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience - Master’s degree preferred This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
