Kinetic OHS is seeking a full-time Hazmat/OHS Consultant (Entry Level or Experienced). This position is suited for individuals who are interested in starting and/or pursuing a career in the occupational health and safety field. Prior experience is not required & we will provide training. We are also looking for applicants with experience to fill our other job openings.

Starting wage will depend on experience.

Our clients range from residential to industrial workplaces in British Columbia, but primarily in the Metro Vancouver area. Our office is located in North Vancouver, but it is not necessary to come to the office at the start of the shift.

**Position Description**:
The Hazmat/OHS Consultant will perform a wide range of duties as follows:

- Conduct air monitoring and inspections during asbestos and lead abatement projects
- Conduct and prepare site inspection reports
- Analyze asbestos air samples
- Conduct hazardous materials surveys and assessments
- Interpret findings and prepare technical reports
- Maintain air monitoring and sampling equipment
- Provide recommendations to meet WorkSafeBC regulations
- Provide project support for Kinetic OHS personnel
- Room for growth

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Must be COVID-19 fully vaccinated
- Have a reliable vehicle and a valid BC Driver’s License
- Good report writing, communication and time management skills
- Good work attitude and willing to learn new skills
- Ability to remain focused on a task
- Must be reliable & detailed oriented
- Ability to speak confidently with clients & contractors
- Ability to work independently and in group/team environments
- Ability to wear PPE such as a respirator, hard hat, eyewear, gloves, boots, etc.
- Be able to climb a ladder
- Be able to pass criminal record checks to obtain security clearance
- Be able to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (project dependent)
- Be able to work out of town on short notice
- Be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel programs
- Good typing skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$38.00 per hour
