The Laundry Aide performs the assigned duties related to processing, and mending of linen and laundry. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients/residents, families, visitors and staff. Courteous service is a critical component to this position. The position of Laundry Aide/Housekeeping Aide functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority. **Qualifications**: - Minimum Grade 10 education required. - Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English. - Previous related experience. - Experience in health care or institutional cleaning. - Must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to perform mental and physical aspects of the position. - Satisfactory employment record. **As a condition of employment, all successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screening), adult abuse and child abuse registry checks prior to commencing employment.** **Direct care workers are required to either be vaccinated for Covid-19 or to participate in on-going regular Covid-19 testing pursuant to Orders made under The Public Health Act C.C.S.M. c.P210.
