Our company is hiring an Auto Body Technician to diagnose, prepare and repair vehicle bodywork, paint, and interior. As an Auto Body Technician, you will work directly with insurance companies and vehicle owners to ensure vehicles are according to pre-determined quality standards. You will be responsible for working with customers to explain damages and estimate costs. To succeed in this role, you should have strong mechanical knowledge, like an understanding of car bodywork, paints and finishes. You will also need to be good at expressing yourself through writing reports and asking questions to get more information. **Responsibilities**: - Inspect and evaluate all vehicles for damage repair. - Inspect major auto parts (e.g. engine, transmission, tires, lights and interior etc.) as per "repair manual" to determine if replacement is needed. - Perform various repairs and minor adjustments to vehicle body and paint. - Fill minor body indentations with putty. - Sand surface of repair area and smooth out with 1200 grit sandpaper. **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Paid time off Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift **Experience**: - auto body repair: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-19
