**About Us**

Founded in 2003, **Inspiration Learning Center** is a well-established tutoring organization with multiple locations across the GTA. We specialize in academic support and private school admissions guidance for students from elementary through high school.

Our **York Mills branch** (York Mills & Don Mills) offers a dynamic, supportive teaching environment that values professional integrity, instructional creativity, and student success.

**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach English reading and writing in one-on-one and small group formats
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Foster critical thinking, writing fluency, and reading comprehension
- Provide regular homework assignments and assess student progress
- Communicate with center staff and parents as needed
- Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment

**Qualifications**:

- University degree with a major in English, History, Education or a related field
- Prior experience teaching **K12 English or ESL** (in school or tutoring setting)
- Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum, having OCT certificate is an asset
- Ability to develop lesson plans based on students' needs and feedback
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, professional, and passionate about education

Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 16 per week

Flexible language requirement:

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- North York, ON M3B 2X9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (required)
