**Position Title: FEI Supervisor, Short Range Inspection and Turnaround**

**Team and Location: Maintenance - Burnaby, BC**

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Active commitment to the site’s Loss Prevention System (LPS), our Culture of Care and our Lifesaving rules in pursuit of an Incident and Injury Free Workplace. Leadership, through both personal behaviors and stewardship of the Short Range Inspection Team activities, of the use of proactive tools, incident reporting and investigation, and all safe work practices and procedures.

**Short Range Inspector Supervision**:

- Accountable for ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time execution of the Mechanical Integrity program at the Refinery through the Leadership, mentoring and coaching of the Short-Range Inspection team in their delivery of the compliance program
- Assure that the Short-Range team is identifying, analyzing and following-up of all inspection program findings as per the processes, procedures and jobs aides adopted by the organization. Periodically audit for quality assurance of task execution.

**Personnel**
- Manage the required aspects of Short-Range Inspector staffing. Manage performance of direct reports (4) including having monthly 1:1 meeting and seeking feedback on performance of direct reports. Provide oversight and work direction to any contract support to the Short-Range Team. Work load balance across positions as required.

**Turnaround Inspection Lead**
- Lead the stewardship, resourcing and on-time delivery of all Inspection milestone deliverables to ensure the execution of safe & efficient Turnarounds that ensure safe & reliable operation runs.
- Act as the Inspection representative on all Turnaround Core Teams from Phase I/II early scoping through Phase VII Post Turnaround review.
- Assure through scope identification, planning and execution that the work executed in-event supports the integrity and reliability goals of the Refinery.
- Develop, resource and lead the In-event Inspection team to assure that all compliance requirements are achieved while ensuring adherence to the schedule expectations of the Turnaround organization.
- Adjust and respond to the changing needs of the organization as programs, priorities and requirements evolve over time.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- API 510 and API 570 Certification required. Certification in API 653, API 580, National Board or CSA Z662 knowledge is an asset.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with fixed equipment inspection in a manufacturing environment. A combination of education and experience including a Materials or Mechanical Technologist Diploma, or Engineering degree will also be considered
- Health and Safety Focus - Must have safety as a core value and this focus must have been demonstrated in past roles
- Demonstrated Leadership capabilities, either through accountability or influence.
- Technical knowledge of fixed equipment design, inspection and damage mechanisms. Familiarity with Risk Based Inspection practices is an asset.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing tasks while delivering results.
- Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills. IDMS knowledge, specifically Visions database system is an asset.
