**Job Title**: Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Retirement Home Assistant
**Location**: Vankleek Hill, ON

**Job Type**: Full-Time / Part-Time

**Pay Rate**:$18-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personalized care including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Aid with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Support meal preparation and feeding, ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met.
- Document and monitor residents' health, promptly reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering trust and positive interaction.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Engage residents in activities that promote mental and physical health.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Follow all health, safety, and infection control protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retirement home or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with seniors and their families.
- Strong commitment to compassionate and personalized care.
- Ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks, including using lifting equipment when needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- Criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening required.
