**Position**: Tax Manager

**Location**: Vancouver, BC

Westbank is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee the entire tax function including reorganizations, acquisitions, corporate income taxes, indirect taxes and manage all tax authority audits. In this role, you will also partner with business operations to ensure that the tax structure meets changing business needs.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Mentoring and providing support to our Tax Specialist
- Tax planning for acquisitions, reorganizations, and loss planning for an organization with over 200 companies located in three countries
- Reviewing Canadian, US and overseas tax returns and associated documentation, including corporation returns, partnership returns, trust returns, and foreign affiliate reporting
- Reviewing tax provision working papers as part of the year-end audits
- Implementing and maintaining technology solutions utilized in the compliance processes
- Managing tax audit inquiries
- Collaborating with external advisors and regional business teams to prepare global transfer pricing documentation
- Responding to queries from operating divisions

**Qualifications**:

- CPA designation
- CPA In-Depth Tax Program completed
- 7+ years proven Canadian tax compliance and tax planning experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable with unforeseen changes in priorities or responsibilities as the projects progress
- High proficiency with Excel and strong comfort level with utilizing technology and accounting systems

**Salary**: From $120,000.00 per year
