School Aged Educators at BACI work in a dynamic team environment to plan and organize activities for children of school age. School Aged Educators work directly with children to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.

**Position: Regular Part Time School Aged Childcare Worker**

**Location: Burnaby, BC**

**Salary: Step 1 - $22.50, Step 2 - $25.00 (Including wage enhancement)**

**Hours: 24.0 Hours per week: Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 7:00am-9:00am 2:00pm-6:00pm split shifts. ** Please note Full Time hours on school breaks and holidays.
**Skills and Knowledge**:
Practical experience working with children requiring additional support in inclusive settings. Practical experience working with children 5-12 years. Understanding and commitment to the principles of inclusion. Ability to develop rapport with families and children including respectful and non-judgmental interactions. Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with families, professionals, and staff. Ability to understand and follow procedure. Computer skills required.

**Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12 with post-secondary training in childcare, education, recreation, or a related field. Early Childhood Education, Special Needs and School Age certification preferred. First Aid, CPR, and TB test clearance required. Immunizations including COVID-19 vaccination required.

This position is open to all applicants. This position requires “Union Membership.” The successful applicant will be required to have a Criminal Record Search and Driver’s License Search completed and reviewed by the Executive Director.
